Use the Edit Name dialog box to make changes to a contact's name.

FIRST NAME

Enter the contact's first name.

MIDDLE NAME
|
Enter the contact's middle name or initial.

LAST NAME
|
Enter the contact's last name.
If the employee's name has a suffix (Jr., for example), enter it as part of the last name.
When you move the focus from this field,
Deltek Resource Planning compares the contact's name to existing contact names. If it detects possible matches, it displays a list of those contacts so you can determine if you are adding a duplicate record. If you are still not sure, you can click a contact in the list to display the full contact record on a separate browser tab.

PREFERRED NAME
|
Enter the name that the contact prefers to be addressed by.
If you enter a preferred name, the name that displays elsewhere in
Deltek Resource Planning (in contact lookup lists, for example) is the preferred name and last name.
