Manage UDT07S Screen

Manage UDT07S is one of the most important UDTs because you can link it to one of the prime UDTs - UDT02 or UDT01. You can also create different descriptions for the same UDT07 when you link it to a different UDT01 or UDT02. This makes UDT07 an excellent choice for data that is charge specific.

For example, you use UDT07 as a labor category. UDT07 P1 is Programmer I in the UDT07 table. For a specific project/job, you could use a different description, such as Programmer/Analyst.

UDT07 is used for the Labor Category field. The UDT07 table entries are the Company Specific Labor Ca tegories whereas the linked UDT01/UDT07 entries are the Job Specific Labor Categories.

UDT07 is used for the PLC field. You will use it only if employees need to change their PLC code in the system or if reports using the PLC code are required. You will link it to UDT02so that you can restrict the PLCs that are valid for UDT02.

Note: You cannot delete a UDT07 code that is being used on a timesheet line or on an expense report.
