Manage UDT05S Screen

Use the Manage UDT05S screen to add, edit, and delete items for UDT05. UDT05 has no special attributes. You can use UDT05 to capture information that does not depend on any of the other UDTs.

UDT05 is used for the Reference 2 field. You use it only if employees need to change their Reference 2 code in the system or if reports using Reference 2 are required.

Location

The Manage UDT05S screen is located in the Configuration module.

To display the screen, complete the following steps:
In the Configuration module, click Master Data > Manage UDT05S.

Screen Fields

Field Description
UDT05

Enter a 20-character, uppercase alphanumeric UDT05 code. Each code must be unique.  

Note:

The number of characters you enter cannot exceed the size set up in the General Configuration screen for UDT05.

Description

Enter up to 30 characters for a UDT05 description. You should make descriptions as short as possible and properly capitalize them because they are used in drop-down boxes and as column headings for reports and inquiries.

Costpoint Company

This field displays only if you selected the Costpoint Multicompany check box in the Miscellaneous tab of the General Configuration screen. See the Special Topic: Costpoint Multicompany for details on this feature.

If the field displays, use the drop-down box to select the Costpoint company name that you wish to associate with this UDT05. If you are working on a new UDT05, the first Costpoint company in the list is the default value. If Costpoint Multicompany is turned on and you are searching existing records, the first value to search on is Costpoint Company.

Active

Select this check box if the UDT05 is active. This option is selected by default.

Note:

You cannot delete a UDT05 code that is being used on a timesheet line, in an expense report, or on a wage schedule.
