Managing Contents of an Office Master
Manage element properties, articles, paragraphs, and notes to specifier of an office master to build out custom baseline content of your A/E firm's project specifications.
The element form of the office master workspace serves as a facility for managing the contents of an office master version of a family or any of its product types. The availability and degree of modification vary with each element, property, or paragraph. In an office master family, there is no distinction between baseline content and user-added content, you can perform all actions equally on all articles and paragraphs.
Specpoint retains all the modifications that you make to an office master version's properties and content items as long as you do not delete or overwrite the version. When you delete the office master version of the family from the element library, you permanently discard all your modifications.
Specpoint's design automation makes changes to a project's articles and paragraphs based on the changes that you make to related element contents. For example, when you delete a paragraph, Specpoint deletes all the paragraph's subparagraphs. This ensures that you do not unintentionally create unparented paragraphs and subparagraphs. This also makes it easier for you to modify content in your office master element and maintain its adherence to the content hierarchy and set outline levels.
