Submittals
Use the Submittals hub to upload your schedule, see the status of an uploaded schedule, and add benchmark attribute values, among other things.
The programs are the parent rows and the grid collapses to the program level. The grid contains only the project data for which you have access to view. Only projects that are associated with a program will display in the grid.
Each project row includes a Window Close Date. This is the date by which you must have your schedule uploaded. That is, you have until 11:59pm the day before this date to upload your schedule. If you miss that date, you can no longer upload your schedule, the status changes to Missing, and the Upload Now link changes to Closed.
Schedule Types that you can Upload
You can upload a schedule to Touchstone from one of the following schedule types:
- Deltek Open Plan (.bk3)
- Microsoft Project (.mpp)
- Primavera P6 (.xer and .xml)
Uploading a Schedule
After a reporting period ends, you have X number of days to upload your schedule. This is referred to as the upload window. You can upload and re-upload your schedule as many times as you want to within this window; however, only one schedule per period is accepted so each time you upload, the previous snapshot/schedule is overwritten. For example, you may have uploaded your schedule and then realized that there is an error in it. You can upload a new one which overwrites the previous one.
When the file upload is successful, a message displays letting you know that the schedule uploaded and that you will receive an email when the scoring is complete. The emails that are sent from Touchstone use the settings on the Configuration tab in
The reporting period and the number of days in which you have to upload your schedule (upload window) are set on the Projects Configuration tab. A weekly reporting period always ends on a Friday. A bi-weekly reporting period ends every 14 days (the initial start date is specified on the Configuration tab). A monthly reporting period always ends on the last day of the month. The upload window starts the day after the reporting period ends. You can view the upload window start and end date on the Configuration tab.
In addition to the reporting period and the upload window, you also need to pay attention to the Time now date (called Data Date in P6 and Status Date in Microsoft Project) from the latest snapshot. If you submit a schedule and the Time Now value is not current, Touchstone includes a warning in the email after the schedule is submitted. If you try to submit a schedule when the Time Now value is not current and the option to Reject submittals if the time now date is not current has been selected on the Projects Configuration tab, Touchstone displays an error message and the schedule is not uploaded. "Current" Time Now is defined on the Projects Configuration tab and might be set to "Equal to or greater than the upload window start date," or "Within the last nn days (relative to the current system/window close date).
Upload a Schedule for a Prior Period
When the Window Close Date has passed (that is, the end of the upload window), the Status column displays Missing and the Uploaded column displays a date range for the next submittal period. If you are the owner, owner-delegate, or a member of the SYSADMIN group, you can upload a schedule for a period that has already closed and has a Missing status, by hovering over the project line and clicking the icon () that displays in the Program column next to the project. If the icon does not display, you may not have the necessary permissions to upload a prior period schedule. For more information and steps, see Upload a Schedule for a Prior Period.
Multi-Project Files
You cannot submit a Primavera P6 or Open Plan file that includes multiple projects. The scoring will fail and an error message will display.
You can, however, submit a Primavera P6 XML file with multiple baselines. Touchstone automatically selects the mapped baseline project based on the ID of the parent project indicated in the project section.
Projects with Links to Other Projects
When you submit an XER/XML (Primavera P6), MPP (Microsoft Project), or a BK3 (Open Plan) file that has links to other projects, Touchstone reads those external relationships.
