Overview Tab
Field | Description |

Project Name |
Enter or view the name of the project. It can have a maximum of 20 characters. Alphanumeric and special characters are accepted. |
Description |
Enter or view a description of the project. |
Program |
View the associated program, or select a program to associate with this project. When you click the program name, Touchstone displays the program in the Programs hub view. If you do not have rights to view the program, a message displays letting you know. In Edit mode (hover over the field name), you can use the drop-down list to select a different program or click the X on the right side of the drop down field to disassociate the project from a program. All programs to which you have access are listed in the drop-down. A project must be associated with a program and have an acceptance criteria template in order for you to submit a schedule. Projects only display in the Submittals view when they are associated with a program and an acceptance criteria template. You cannot use benchmark attributes for the project if it is not linked to a program. |
Manager |
Select or view the name of the project manager. The list of names is from the information in EPM Security Administrator (EPM SA). |
Contract ID |
Enter or view the contract name or number. |
Contract Finish Date |
Enter or view the date that the contract finishes. |
Current Project % Complete |
This is an estimate of the project percent complete based on duration, based on data from the latest uploaded snapshot. Touchstone uses the following calculation: ((Sum of Original Duration - Sum of Remaining Duration) / Sum of Original Duration) where only activities that are not summaries are taken into account. In some cases, activities may have original duration that is smaller than remaining duration which may cause the Project % Complete to be a negative number. In these situations, Touchstone displays Project % Complete as zero. |
Current Activity Count |
This is the total number of activities in the project, based on data from the latest uploaded snapshot and is calculated by counting activities of all tasks that are not summaries. This field is blank until at least one snapshot is uploaded. |
Phase |
Enter or view the phase that the project is in. For example, Proposed, Open, or Closed. |
Last Submitted |
This is the upload date of the last uploaded schedule snapshot. This field is blank until at least one snapshot is uploaded. |

Start |
This is the project actual start date or the earliest activity start date if the project does not have a start date. |
Finish |
This is the project actual finish date or the latest activity finish date if the project does not have a finish date. |
Time Now |
This is the Time Now date from the latest snapshot. It displays the exact date value extracted from the schedule file and is not adjusted to the local time zone. It is populated using data from the last snapshot for each associated project and displays None until at least one associated project has an uploaded snapshot. Time Now is called Data Date in P6 and Status Date in Microsoft Project. This field displays in red when the Time Now value is not current. "Current" is defined on the Projects Configuration tab. If you submit a schedule and the Time Now value is not current, Touchstone includes a warning in the email after the schedule is submitted. If you try to submit a schedule when the Time Now value is not current and the option to Reject submittals if the time now date is not current has been selected on the Projects Configuration tab, Touchstone displays an error message and the schedule is not uploaded. |
Baseline Start |
This is the project planned start date or the earliest activity baseline start date if the project does not have a baseline start date. This field is blank when the project is from Primavera P6. |
Baseline Finish |
This is the project planned finish date or the latest activity baseline finish date if the project does not have a baseline finish date. This field is blank when the project is from Primavera P6. |
BUDGETS | |
Negotiated Cost |
Enter or view the estimated cost negotiated in a cost-plus-fixed-fee contract, or the negotiated contract target cost in either a fixed-price incentive contract or a cost-plus-incentive-fee contract. This field is not used in any calculations and is for information purposes only. |
Current Projected Cost |
This is the sum of the budgeted costs for all activities within the project. It is populated using the latest snapshot for the project and is blank until at least one snapshot is uploaded. The budget cost is calculated in the following manner:

Contingency |
Enter or view the reserve that is set aside for unexpected events and is usually part of the contract's base budget. |

Benchmark attributes are used in benchmark reporting and are qualitative measures of success for the project. Click

If you have write access to the project, you can click in a benchmark attribute column to select an attribute value. |
Activity Count |
This is the total number of activities in the project, based on data from the latest snapshot and is calculated by counting activities of all tasks that are not summaries. This field is blank until at least one snapshot is uploaded. |
Baseline Finish |
This is the project planned finish date or the latest activity baseline finish date if the project does not have a baseline finish date. |
Baseline Start |
This is the project planned start date or the earliest activity baseline start date if the project does not have a baseline start date. |
Finish |
This is the project actual finish date or the latest activity finish date if the project does not have a finish date. |
Last Updated |
This is the date that the project was last changed. This takes into account any snapshot uploads and changes to benchmark attributes. When a new project is created, this column is blank until a snapshot is uploaded or a change is made to the benchmark attributes. |
Project % Complete |
This is the amount, in percent, that the project is complete. For a missing snapshot, this column is blank. |
Schedule |
For an uploaded snapshot, this is the name of the file that was uploaded by the submitter. Click the file name to save the file to your local drive. If the row you are looking at is for a missing schedule, this column is blank. For a missing snapshot, this column is blank. |
Score |
This is the score that Touchstone gave the uploaded schedule based on the acceptance criteria metrics. You can see the name of the acceptance criteria template that was used for the scoring on the Projects Configuration tab. For a missing snapshot, this column is blank. |
Start |
This is the project actual start date or the earliest activity start date if the project does not have a start date. |
Status |
This is the condition of the schedule:

Submitter |
For an uploaded snapshot, this is the name of the person who uploaded the schedule snapshot and is from the user information in EPM Security Administrator (EPM SA). For a missing snapshot, this is the name of the user who was logged in when Touchstone added the missing snapshot to the grid after the user selected the Add Missing Snapshots option in the Other Actions menu. |
Submitter Email |
This is the email address for the person who uploaded the schedule snapshot and is from the user information in EPM Security Administrator (EPM SA). The emails that are sent from Touchstone use the settings on the Configuration tab in To send an email to the submitter, click on the link in this column to display a new email message window. The Subject line is automatically populated with the project name, project status, window close date, and number of days until the close date (if applicable). When you click Send, the upload report is automatically attached to the email. |
Submitter Phone |
This is the phone number for the person who uploaded the schedule snapshot and is from the user information in EPM Security Administrator (EPM SA). |
Time Now |
This is the Time Now date from the latest snapshot. Time Now is called Data Date in P6 and Status Date in Microsoft Project. |
Uploaded |
Prior to the Window Close Date, the submitter may upload their schedule as many times as they wish. Each time they upload, the previous upload is overwritten. This is the date that the snapshot was last uploaded. For a missing snapshot, this column displays the date that you clicked and the missing snapshot was added to the grid. |
Window Close Date |
This is the date by which you must have your schedule uploaded. That is, you have until 11:59pm the day before this date to upload your schedule. Use the Projects Configuration tab to specify how often you want schedules for each project to be uploaded and the length of each reporting period. The Window Close Date is calculated by adding the number of days listed in the Upload Window field (Projects Configuration tab) to the Reporting Period (Projects Configuration tab). |

This field displays when you select a Biweekly reporting period. Enter a start date for the first biweekly period. |
Upload Window |
Enter the number of calendar days that you have, after the reporting period ends, to upload your schedule before
Window Close Date.

Field Mapping Template |
View the associated field mapping template, or select the field mapping template that you want to use for the project. When you click the field mapping template name, Touchstone displays the template in the Field Mappings view. If you do not have rights to view the template, a message displays letting you know. Touchstone uses a standard import template to import data from schedule projects. However, it also allows you to custom map any data in the project file. The field mapping templates are defined in . |
Acceptance Criteria Template |
View the associated acceptance criteria template, or select the acceptance criteria template that you want to use for the project. This is a required field. When you click the acceptance criteria template name, Touchstone displays the template in the Acceptance Criteria view. If you do not have rights to view the template, a message displays letting you know. The acceptance criteria operate at the project level; that is, each project is associated with an acceptance criteria template that includes the metrics used to evaluate the submittals. When you submit a schedule in the Submittals view, Touchstone uses the acceptance criteria to determine if the schedule is accepted or rejected. If you delete an acceptance criteria template that is associated with a project ( ), that project will no longer display in the Submittals view and the submitter will not be able to upload a schedule. To avoid this issue, if the acceptance criteria template that you have selected for this project is deleted, you must select a different template in this field.The acceptance criteria templates are defined in . |
Time Now Options |
Use these fields to define current time now. The Time Now date displays the exact date value extracted from the schedule file and is not adjusted to the local time zone. It is populated using data from the last snapshot for each associated project and displays None until at least one associated project has an uploaded snapshot. The Time Now field displays on the Projects Overview tab, in the Projects List view, and in the Submittals view. It displays in red when the value is not current as defined here. Time Now is called Data Date in P6 and Status Date in Microsoft Project. If you submit a schedule and the Time Now value is not current, Touchstone includes a warning in the email after the schedule is submitted. If you try to submit a schedule when the Time Now value is not current and the option to Reject submittals if the time now date is not current has been selected, Touchstone displays an error message and the schedule is not uploaded. |
Current |
Use the
Current field to define "current time now."
When you select Within the last nn days, it means <number> of days prior to today's date. For example, if today is May 22 and you specify Within the last 7 days, it means that current time now is defined as being anytime from May 15 - 21. All options are relative to your browser's local time zone. |
Time Now Window |
If you select one of the Within the last nn days options in the Current field, you must select a number here as the nn value. The available options are based on the reporting period: 1 to 7 for weekly, 1 to 14 for bi-weekly, and 1 to 31 for monthly. |
Reject Submittals if the time now date is not current |
If this option is selected and a submitter tries to upload a schedule when the Time Now value is not current, Touchstone displays an error message and the schedule is not uploaded. |
Access Control Tab
Field | Description |

Owner |
This is the name of the project owner and is only editable on this tab. The name that displays is from the EPM Security Administrator (EPM SA) User General tab First Name and Last Name fields for the owner. If those fields are blank, it displays the EPM SA User ID name for the owner. It is a read-only field in the Project's List view. Only the owner and a member of the SYSADMIN group can edit this field. In edit mode, you can select a different name from the drop-down list. The list includes all users who have been assigned a named license in EPM Security Administrator. When you copy a project, you become the owner and this field changes to your First Name + Last Name or User ID. |
ACCESS CONTROL LIST | |
User |
This list is sorted alphabetically by first name and includes all users who have been assigned to a named license. The list includes first and last name and user ID in parentheses. Select the user to whom you want to grant access. When you select a user, the Group column is disabled. |
Group |
This list includes all groups listed in EPM Security Administrator and is sorted by group description. Select a group to whom you want to grant access. When you select a group, the User column is disabled. |
Role |
This list includes all roles listed in EPM Security Administrator and is sorted by role description. This is an optional field. The OWNER_DELEGATE role gives a user or a member of a group the same rights as the owner, including the ability to edit the access control information. It does not allow the user or group member to change the owner. |
Read Only |
Select this check box if you want to limit the user or group to read-only access. |

This column lists the first and last name plus user ID of the submitter. |
