The Change Details View offers real-time, up-to-date planning on the control account, work package and activity levels and provides a very robust resource for managing every aspect of your project. Use Change Details to view schedule and cost data and other details associated with a budget or forecast change. A change could be as simple as modifying the resource assignments on a task, or as complex as creating new control accounts and work packages. When the request is approved, the workflow steps ensure that both the scheduling and cost tools are updated.
You can access the Change Details view from the Change Management area of the Navigation menu.
For each control account, work package, or activity selected on the Change Details grid, PM Compass displays several tabs that provide information such as time phased budgeted and forecasted resources.
All changes made to the Change Details grid and tabs are saved to a temporary project (sandbox), until the request to which the change belongs is approved. See Storing Change Request Data for more information on saved data.
After saving your changes in the Form View, you can no longer edit the project and control account of the Change Request form.
