Delete Absence Type

Use these steps to delete an absence type.

Note: You cannot delete an absence type if it is used to register an absence.

However, in cases where two or more absence types with the same name exist (such as if you created both a company-specific and system-wide absence type), you can delete one of the absence types even if it is in use. The remaining absence type cannot be deleted.

To delete an absence type:

  1. Under the Setup menu group, go to Absence > Absence Types.
  2. Use the search filter and/or the Search field at the top of the workspace to select the absence type you need to delete.
  3. Click Delete Absence Type.
  4. In the confirmation dialog box that displays, click Delete to confirm deletion or Cancel to exit without deleting.
