Special Content Items
Use this reference for working with special content items in your project. These content items are typically paragraphs or articles that have special characteristics in how they interact with user actions, other content items, and other areas of Specpoint.
The following special content items are available:
Note: A content item can be of one or multiple types. For example, a
product type property is typically a shared property as it typically belongs in both a
family or section element and a
product type element.

A property set is a paragraph with subparagraphs, which are paragraphs one outline level under another paragraph. Use a property set to modify multiple related contents within an article. - Shared Property
This property is a paragraph that appears in multiple families, sections, and/or product types. Use a shared property to maintain consistent content across two or more project elements. - Sustainability Paragraph
A sustainability paragraph identifies a family's sustainability requirements and automatically activates or inactivates based on your project's selected Sustainability parameter. It displays only the content that matches the rating system applied to your project. - Product Type Article or Product Type Paragraph
Use a product type article or a product type paragraph to represent a product type in the actual specification content. These content items enable you to work with product type-specific specification content in context within a family, section, and product type. - Product Group Article or Product Group Paragraph
Use a product group article or product group paragraph to represent a product group at the family or section level in a specification. - Manufacturers Paragraph
Use this paragraph to specify manufacturers or product listings that fulfill a product type requirement in your A/E firm's project specifications. - Basis-of-Design (BOD) Product Paragraph
Use this paragraph to specify a product listing as a basis of design (BOD) for a product type and to fulfill a product requirement. - Product Type Property
A product type property is a paragraph that describes a product requirement or characteristic that you want to define in your project specifications. In Specpoint, use product type properties to refine and streamline product selection. - Paragraphs for Manufacturer Options
Use this reference for working with special paragraphs for manufacturer options in your project. These paragraphs enable you to include manufacturer-specific content to fulfill special product requirements in your project. - LOS-Associated Content
Within a given family, section, or product type element, use LOS-associated content to automatically adjust the articles and paragraphs included in your project based on either the project's current level of specification (LOS) or the element's target LOS.
