Using the Help Search
  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Shared Property

This property is a paragraph that appears in multiple families, sections, and/or product types. Use a shared property to maintain consistent content across two or more project elements.

When you perform an action on a shared property, Specpoint updates all instances of that paragraph in every family, section, and product type that shares it in your project. For example, if you inactivate a shared property under the Products part (element tab) of a family, the same property under the Products of any product type that shares it also updates to an inactive state.

Modifications also include selections and entries in an option set. When you select an option in a shared property, Specpoint applies your selection to all instances of the shared property in every added element that shares the property in your project.
