Baseline Access Control Dialog Box
In Open Plan, you can set the security options for a baseline on a project that you have open in either Exclusive or Shared mode.
The Baseline Access Control dialog box features a grid containing the following columns:
- Group: Click the down arrow at the right edge of the edit box to display a list of all the groups for which security rights are established in your database. You can select a group from this list to define rights to the baseline to all members of the group.
- User ID: Click the down arrow at the right edge of the edit box to display a list of all the users for whom security rights are established in your database. You can select an individual from this list to define rights to the baseline to that specific user.
- Copy: The entries in this column control whether the group or user has the right to copy the baseline.
- Delete: The entries in this column control whether the group or user has the right to delete the baseline.
- Update in Project: The entries in this column control whether the group or user has the right to update the baseline.
- Update in Master: The entries in this column control whether the group or user has the right to update this baseline when this project is opened in the context of a master project. The master project must have a baseline with the same name that was created with the
Use Baseline of the Same Name on External Subprojects option selected.
Note: The Update in Project and Update in Master options are independent of each other. For example, if Update in Project was set to No, and Update in Master set to Yes, then the group or user will not be able to update the baseline if the project is opened on its own, but will be able to update the baseline if the project is opened as an external subproject.
- View: The entries in this column control whether the baseline is included on the Baselines dialog box for the group or user.
You can assign baseline access control rights to either a group or an individual user on a single row, but not both.
