Create a New Baseline

Use this procedure to create a baseline.

To create a baseline:

1. In the Project Views folder of Open Plan Explorer, display a project in any view.
2. On the Processes tab, select Baselines from the Dialogs menu group.
3. In the Baselines dialog box, click New.
4. In the Add Baseline dialog box, enter a name and a description for the baseline.
5. From the Based On list, select whether you want to use Early, Late, or Scheduled dates for storing information related to resources and costs.
6. Click the appropriate options for progressed activities.
7. Click OK.

You can also display the Baselines dialog box by clicking Select Baseline on the Summary tab of the Project Properties dialog box.
