Use the Resource tab of the Change Details form to edit the resource assignments of an activity.
This topic covers two different procedures. Select the steps you need based on the Workflow Type Configuration setting:
Load the Change into Cost System as = A New or Change Amount
Load the Change into Cost System as = A Replacement of Existing Time Phased Data
If the Workflow Type Configuration Load the Change into Cost System as option is set to A New or Change Amount, you will be unable to edit existing resource assignments. In order to delete a resource assignment, or reduce hours, you must insert a new line and enter a negative value to indicate a change. In order to increase hours, you must insert a new line and enter a positive value to indicate a change. Upon final approval of the change request, the difference between the two values is rolled into the final budget.
For example, if a painter has 800 hours assigned and you want to reduce the hours to 600, you must insert a new line and add a painter resource assignment with an amount of -200 hours. Upon final approval, the painter resource assignment will have 600 hours rolled into the budget.
To edit an existing resource assignment when the A New or Change Amount option is selected, complete the following steps:
On the Navigation menu, click Workflows » Change Management » select a Change Request.
In the List View, select the Change Request.
On the General tab of the Change Request Form, click the Change Details button. The Change Details view and barchart displays.
Select the activity that is associated with the resource assignment you wish to edit.
Select the Resources tab.
Do one of the following:
To increase a resource assignment, add a new row to the resource assignment grid and enter the new or change amount.
To decrease a resource assignment, add a new row to the resource assignment grid and enter a negative value so that the sum of the existing assignments plus the newly added record equal the new total amount.
Click Save.
If the Workflow Type Configuration Load the Change into Cost System as option is set to A Replacement of Existing Time Phased Data, you will be able to edit existing resource assignments.
To edit an existing resource assignment when the A Replacement of Existing Time Phased Data option is selected, complete the following steps:
On the Navigation menu, click Workflows » Change Management » select a Change Request.
In the List View, select the Change Request.
On the General tab of the Change Request Form, click the Change Details button. The Change Details view and barchart displays.
Select the activity that is associated with the resource assignment you wish to edit.
Select the Resources tab.
In the Resources grid, select the resource assignment you wish to edit.
Edit the information as needed.
Click Save.

Add a predecessor or successor relationship to define when an activity occurs
Add a relationship to an activity
