State Quarterly report

Use this report to review state payroll taxes paid by the employer and employee for all employees in your company. This report contains a section for each state you worked in and for each type of tax for the state.

Audience

Accounting

Producing the report

From the > Reports menu, click Payroll > State Quarterly.

Report options

Option Description

Company

Multi-company only. The report contains information for all companies in your organization, unless you select a specific company in this field.

Period

The report contains information for the current quarter unless you select a different time period in this field.

State

The report contains information for all state taxes unless you select a specific state.

Tax

The report contains information for all taxes unless you select a specific tax.

After changing report options, click (Refresh). 

Customize options

Option Description

Report title

You can change the title of the report.

Detail sort order

Sorts the report by the employee’s first name, last name, or Social Security Number.

Column 1, 2, 3, 4

Select to display one of the following in each of the four columns:

Column Description

Gross

The amount of pay before any taxes or deductions

Hire date

The date the employee was hired

Hours

The number of hours worked

Subject To

The taxable amount of pay that falls under any maximum limit

Tax

The amount of tax paid

Taxable

The taxable basis of the pay

Termination date

The date the employee was terminated

Weeks

The number of weeks worked

The name of the tax

Social Security

The employee’s Social Security Number

Employee

The employee’s name

Column 1, 2, 3, 4
