The Period (AutoTime 6) tab displays an employee’s timecard from the AutoTime 6 application.
If you are upgrading from AutoTime 6, you can use this tab to view older transactions that were entered in AutoTime 6 and exist only in the AutoTime 6 database.
The Period (AutoTime 6) tab is view-only. You will not be able to modify transactions, sign/unsign, or lock/unlock the records. If you need to modify the records, you will need to do so in your AutoTime 6 application. Event colors will not display on the Period (AutoTime 6) tab. You cannot view daily details or view individual transaction details.
Requirements to view this tab:
The AUTOTIME 6 TIMECARD module must be licensed and enabled.
Your AutoTime 6 Employee Number must be the same as your Shop Floor Time Employee.
The Period (AutoTime 6) tab must be enabled in your Security Role.
The AutoTime 6 database must be configured on the Interface Host form. You will also need to deploy the data source for your AutoTime 6 database.
The AT6 DB Host Name setting must be assigned to employees who will be using the tab.

The Period (AutoTime 6) timecard includes the following fields. You can make these fields available/unavailable by modifying your Form Profile. You can change the field names using the Dictionary Label form.

Split Second Half - This column indicates whether hours were posted to the first or second half of a split day in a 9-80 schedule. If this field is blank, none of the hours in the line item were posted on a split day. If this field displays "Y", then hours for the line item were posted on the second half of a split day. An "N" indicates the hours were posted on the first half of a split day.

Name
This field displays the employee’s first and last name.
Employee
This field displays the employee number.
Status
This fields indicates whether the entire period is signed by the employee or supervisor, or if the period has been payroll locked.
: This icon indicates that the employee signed the period.
: This icon indicates that the supervisor signed the period
: This icon indicates that the period is locked for payroll.
The Status icons also indicate if the period is unsigned or unlocked. |
Note: For split days in 9-80 schedules, AutoTime 6 does not support the separate signing/locking of each half. If at least one half of the split day is signed/locked, the entire day is considered signed/locked.
Effective Date
This field determines which pay period is displayed on the tab. A pay period may consist of one week, two weeks, half a month, or an entire month, depending on the settings in the employee’s AutoTime 6 Payroll Policy. When you select an Effective Date, the pay period that includes this date will be displayed.
Click the or buttons to scroll to the previous or next pay period. Click to display a calendar from which you can select another date. All the days in the pay period will display on the Period tab.
Period Begin Date
This field displays the first day of the pay period that includes the Effective Date.
Period End Date
This field displays the last day of the pay period that includes the Effective Date.
To find records:
Click the Filter button at the top of the Period (AutoTime 6) tab.
Enter the Effective Date of the period you want to view.
Click Find.
Note: You can show or hide the Find button by enabling or disabling it in your Security Role.
To download the pay period records on the Period (AutoTime 6) tab:
Click the Download button.
A message displays asking if you want to open or save the .csv file.
Click Open to view it immediately or click Save to place a copy in your disk.
The following Preferences settings affect the display of the Period (AutoTime 6) timecard:
Name Format
This indicates how the employee name is displayed in the Name field.
Options are:
Last name, first name
first name, last name
Duration Format
This indicates how the time is displayed.
Options are:
CLOCK: The time is displayed following the regular format. (08:30)
DECIMAL: This time is displayed as a decimal. (8.50)
Show Seconds
If the Duration Format is set to CLOCK, this setting determines whether seconds will display with the hours in the timecard (e.g., 08:30:00).
The other Preferences settings will not affect the display of the Period (AutoTime 6) timecard.
