Detail Form: Host Param
The Interface Host form is used to configure the host systems that communicate with Shop Floor Time. These hosts are used as senders and receivers on the Distribution Model.

Host Name
The identifying name of the server that data is being sent from or to.
Host Type
Host Type may be either Sender of data or Receiver of data.
Host URL
URL used to access the external system.
Host Data Source
The relative path of the database location.
Host DB Type
Oracle or SQL Server
Login Name
Username to log into the external system.
Password
Password to log into the external system. This field is only visible when you add, modify, or copy an interface host record.
Host System Name
System name of the external system.
Host Company
Company name of the external system.
Host Timezone
Time zone used by the Interface Host. Use this field if you need to connect to ERP systems in different time zones.
The Connection Type determines how Shop Floor Time and the Interface Host will communicate. It also determines which validations will be performed when you click the Test Connection button for a specific Interface Host.
Available options are SAP, HTTP, and Database.

Update Date, Updated By
These fields display when the record was created or updated, and the person who created or updated the record.
Click Main Menu > Configuration > Interfaces > Interface Host.
Click Add.
Enter the Host Name and select the Host Type (Sender or Receiver).
The remaining fields are optional. You can enter the values now or modify the record and enter them later.
If you want to add more than one Interface Host record, click Save and Add to save your settings and keep the Add window open. Or click Save to save your Interface Host record and return to the main form.
Click Main Menu > Configuration > Interfaces > Interface Host.
Select the Interface Host you want to change and click Modify.
You can modify all the fields except the Host Name and Host Type.
Click Save.
Click Main Menu > Configuration > Interfaces > Interface Host.
Select the Interface Host you want to remove and click Delete.
Click OK to confirm the action.
Click Main Menu > Configuration > Interfaces > Interface Host.
Select the Interface Host you want to duplicate and click Copy.
Enter the new Host Name and select the Host Type (Sender or Receiver).
The remaining fields are optional. You can enter the values now or modify the record and enter them later.
If you want to copy the Interface Host record again, click Save and Add to save your settings and keep the Copy window open. Or click Save to save your Interface Host record and return to the main form.
The Test Connection button will test the connection between Shop Floor Time and an Interface Host. The method that is used to test the connection will depend on the Interface Host's Connection Type.
Select the Interface Host and click the Test Connection button.
If the Interface Host has no Connection Type, the Host URL and Host Data Source will be validated.
If the Connection Type is HTTP, the Host URL will be validated.
If the Connection Type is Database, the Host Data Source will be validated.
If the Connection Type is SAP, a connection with SAP will be validated. If the Host Type is Receiver, the application will also check to see that SAP_LISTENER is enabled for this Interface Host on the Application Settings form.
If any of these validations fail, an error will be recorded on the Error Log form. To view these errors, select the Process Name InterfaceHostTestConnection.
