Print Preview
The Print Preview command enables you to see exactly how a report will be printed based on the current settings in the Print, Print Setup, Print Options, and Title Blocks dialog boxes.
The print preview window includes a zoom cursor that allows you to zoom in on any portion of the report you want to examine in greater detail.
You can display the Print Preview tab by displaying the view or data file that you want to print and taking one of the following actions:
- Clicking on the File menu
- Clicking the
Print Preview
button on the Quick Access Toolbar
Print preview shows entire pages at a reduced size so that you can view one or more pages at a time and check page breaks. You cannot, however, make any changes to the report while in print preview.
The print preview tab provides the following controls to display your report:
- Print: Prints the report directly from the preview.
- Setup: Changes the printer and the printer settings.
- Options: Changes the printing options for the view. This button is disabled when you are previewing a Calendar view. Calendar views do not have options to set.
- Capture: Saves the active view in the .jpg format. This button is disabled when you are previewing multiple pages. This button is disabled when you are previewing multiple pages. You can view multiple pages by clicking the Two Page option from the Zoom group.
- Zoom In/Out: Increases/decreases the magnification one level. The Zoom In and Zoom Out buttons provide three levels of magnification.
- One Page/Two Page: Displays one page/two pages of the report on the screen at one time.
- Next Page: Displays the next page in the report.
- Prev Page: Displays the previous page in the report.
- Close: Closes the print preview window and returns to the current view.
