Using the Help Search
  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Section Preview Window

Use this window to preview the contents of a family, section, or product type element and view how specified articles, paragraphs, and related contents from associated project elements display when you export a project manual.

This window displays the contents of a family, section, or product type in a traditional section view that uses your set project formatting and styles. However, the section preview does not include pagination as page separation and numbering depend on contents that precede and succeed the family or section.

For the section preview of the family, section, or product type, the following style and formatting options apply:

Option Description
Headers and Footers This preview uses the selected header & footer template for the project.
Style Guide This preview uses the selected style guide for the project.

The Section Preview window displays only specific content items such as active articles and paragraphs. This also applies to related contents from associated families, sections, and product types. When you open this window from a product type element, this window displays a section preview that is based on the product type's parent family or section.
