Report Columns

In the Specpoint Model Validation report, the following columns for each Revit model element are available:

Column Description
BIM Category This displays the Revit category of the model element.
Revit Family This displays the Revit family of the model element.
Revit Type This displays the Revit family type of the model element.
Assembly Code This displays the set assembly code for the model element.

To modify the assembly code, click the assembly code and click .... This opens the Set Assembly Code dialog box, which enables you to select a new assembly.

If an assembly code is not available, the default value is (Not Set).

Assembly Description This displays the name or description of the associated Specpoint assembly for the model element. This option

If an assembly description is not available, the default value is (Not Set).

Specpoint Family Number This displays the number of the associated Specpoint family for the model element.

If a family number is not available, the default value is (Not Set).

Specpoint Family This displays the name of the associated Specpoint family for the model element.

You can click the Specpoint Family to open the family in the project workspace in your default browser. This requires that log in to Specpoint.

If a family is not available, the default value is (Not Set).

Coordination Status This indicates the status of the association between the Revit model element and the Specpoint assembly.

You can click each column header to sort the model elements by that column.

Coordination Status

In the Specpoint Model Validation report, the following coordination statuses and color codes for each Revit model element are available:

Color Status Status Message Description
Green Verified Verified This status indicates that the Revit model element has an associated assembly code for a lowest-level Specpoint assembly added to the project and the Specpoint assembly has added families under it.
Yellow Caution Add a Family under the Assembly in the Specpoint Project This status indicates that the Revit model element has an associated assembly code for a lowest-level Specpoint assembly added to the project, but the Specpoint assembly does not have any added families under it.
Add Assembly in the Specpoint Project This status indicates that the Revit model element has an associated assembly code for a valid lowest-level Specpoint assembly, but the assembly is not added to the project.
Red Needs Attention Assembly Code does not exist in the Specpoint library This status indicates one of the following:
  • The Revit model element does not have an associated Specpoint assembly code.
  • The Revit model element has an associated assembly code that does not pertain to an valid Specpoint assembly.
The last Sub-Assembly must be associated to the Revit Family This status indicates that the Revit model element has an associated assembly code for a Specpoint assembly, but the assembly is not a lowest-level assembly.
