Rounding Policy

Detail Forms:

Clock Rounding

Grace Rounding

Leave Rounding

Return Rounding

Labor Rounding

The Rounding Policy form is used to configure the rules that determine how and when time-related activities, such as Clock Ins, Clock Outs, Breaks, Labor start/stop, etc. are rounded to a certain point in time, based on configured grace periods. The calculation of durations between actions can also be exported to an ERP system.

Note: When calculating whether a time reporter is inside or outside of their schedule, the system applies the schedule's Applicable Start and End Times.

This policy can be assigned to a single Employee/Person via the Employee Setting form, to an Employee Group with type POLICY_GROUP or FACILITY via the Employee Group Setting form, or to all users via the System Settings form. An Employee setting overrides an Employee Group setting, which overrides a System Setting. See Settings Precedence for more details.

In the web timecard, the system applies the Rounding Policy of the person whose timecard is being modified. If a supervisor is modifying an employee’s timecard, the employee’s Rounding Policy will be used. In the Self Service timecard, the logged-in user’s Rounding Policy will be used.

The Rounding feature is disabled by default. To enable the feature:

  1. Click Main Menu > Configuration > System > PVE Plugin.

  2. Click ROUNDING and click Modify.

  3. Check the Enabled box and click Save.

  4. Restart the application server. Rounding is now enabled.
