Calendar and Activities Overview
A key component of lead follow-up, opportunity tracking, and contract management is the ability to schedule activities and link those activities to your customer, contact, lead, marketing campaign, employee, opportunity, and contract records. Your activities can include phone calls, meetings, tasks, and other important business functions.
The Activity Calendar, Activity Manager, Info Center, and Dashboard applications share activity data. When you add, modify, or delete activity information in any one of these applications, your modifications are immediately available in the other three applications.
The only exception is that the Activity Calendar displays only phone calls, meetings, and tasks. To view other types of activities, you must use the Activity Manager, Info Center, or Dashboard.
Connect for Microsoft Outlook is an optional GovWin Capture Management module that makes it possible for you to manage GovWin Capture Management customers, contacts, vendor/partners, and opportunities, all from Microsoft Outlook. Connect for Microsoft Outlook does not replace the Customer, Contact, Vendor/Partner, or Opportunity Info Centers. You use it in addition to the Info Centers, to access and manage GovWin Capture Management Info Center records from either application.
In addition, you can use the Download Microsoft Integration utility to download files that allow you to share activity data between GovWin Capture Management and Microsoft Outlook.
