Scheduling Activities on the Activity Dialog Box Overview
You can schedule and modify activities using many GovWin Capture Management applications. All activity scheduling and maintenance functions are processed on the Activity dialog box.
You can access the Activity dialog box from any of the following applications:
- Activity Calendar
- Activity Manager
- Dashboard
- Customer, Contact, Lead, Marketing Campaign, Employee, Opportunity, or Contract Info Center
- Reporting
Use the activity scheduling and maintenance tools in these applications to manage your relationships with customers, contacts, leads, and even other employees at your own company while you also keep track of all your contract, opportunity, and marketing campaign activities.
Shared Activity Information
The Activity Calendar, Activity Manager, Info Center, and Dashboard applications share activity data. When you add, modify, or delete activity information in any one of these applications, your modifications are immediately available in the other three applications.
The only exception is that the Activity Calendar displays only phone calls, meetings, and tasks. To view other types of activities, you must use the Activity Manager, Info Center, or Dashboard.
Where Are Activities Available?
When you schedule an activity, the activity becomes available in the following applications:
- The Activity Calendar for each employee included on the attendee list if the activity is a phone call, meeting, or task
- The Activity Manager for all employees who have access to the activity, for all activity types
- The Activities grid in the Employee Info Center record for each employee included on the attendee list, for all activity types
- The Activities grid of the associated Info Center records, for all activity types
- The Dashboard for each employee included on the attendee list, for all activity types
Whether or not an activity displays in each of these applications depends on a user's activity access rights and their activities filter selections.
