EDUCATION, SKILLS & TRAINING DATA

Use this screen to set up education, skills, and training data for employees. You can use the information from this screen for reporting in Costpoint Human Resources. Subtask screens related to the Education, Skills and Training Data screen include Degrees, Courses, Skills, Training, Prof. Orgs, and Career Plan.

Use this screen whenever you need to add a new employee's information or update existing information. You must have already set up employees in the Basic Employee Info screen and the Salary Info and History screen before adding them here. You must have established degree, course, skills, training, and professional organization codes for the employee in the Training menu in Costpoint Personnel before entering the data here.

Employee

Enter, or use Lookup to select, the employee ID for the employee whose training record you want to add or update. The last employee ID that was active is provided as a default. This is a required field. After you select the employee ID, the employee's name displays in the unlabeled field to the right.

Home Organization

After you enter the employee ID, the employee's home organization is displayed from the Salary Info and History table. The description of the organization displays in the unlabeled field to the right.

Detail Job Title

After you enter the employee ID, the employee's detail job title is displayed from the Salary Info and History table. The description of the job title displays in the unlabeled field to the right.

Notes

Enter any applicable notes about the employee in this 256-character alphanumeric field. This is an optional field.

Degrees

Select this pushbutton to enter information on employee degrees.

Courses

Select this pushbutton to enter course information.

Skills

Select this pushbutton to enter skills information.

Training

Use this pushbutton to enter training information.

Prof. Orgs.

Use this pushbutton to enter information on the employee's professional organization memberships.

Career Plan

Use this pushbutton to enter career-planning information.
