Combining Client Records When You Integrate with CRM
If you are integrating with CRM, we recommend you follow this workflow to ensure client records are combined correctly and continue to sync as expected.
| Important: | Once the combine feature is used, it is important not to Sync to CRM until all the steps have been completed. |
Step 1: Steps to Take in Ajera
This process will combine the From client into the To client, update all the associated data in Ajera, and delete the From client entry from the Ajera mapping table.

In Setup > Company > Preferences > Integrations > CRM tab, set the Frequency in the Auto Run section to None.

Enter a client in the From Client Name field.

Enter a client in the To Client Name field.

Click Combine.

Click Yes.
-
Click OK.
You will be automatically logged out of Ajera.
Step 2: Steps to Take in Vantagepoint
This process will combine the existing firm into the new firm and update all associated data and delete the existing firm.

Log in to Vantagepoint.

In the Navigation pane, select Utilities > Key Conversions > Firms.

Click + Add Firm.

In the Existing Firm column, enter the same From Client Name you entered in Ajera.

In the New Firm column, enter the same To Client Name you entered in Ajera.

Click Run.
Step 3: Steps to Take in Ajera
This process will update the contact's Company field with the new integrated company.

Log in to Ajera.

In Setup > Company > Preferences > Integrations > CRM tab,set the Frequency in the Auto Run section to your previous setting.

In Setup, click Contacts.

Select one of the contacts attached to the merged client.

Click Edit.
-
Click Yes when prompted to update the company.

Click Save.

Repeat steps 3-6 until all the clients affected by the merge have been updated.
It is now safe to sync to CRM
