Holidays Dialog Box
The Holidays dialog box displays a list of calendars for which you can define holidays.
You can enter any number of holidays for the selected calendar. You can also specify whether the holiday should be repeated every year.
Open Plan recognizes a number of commonly used date formats. For example, you can use any of the following date formats:
| Date Illustration | Notes |
|---|---|
| 10/3/2007
or 10/3/07 |
You can also use a space or any punctuation mark except the colon (:) as a separator.
You can also abbreviate the year to the last 2 digits (07 in this example). Open Plan uses the date format set in Windows to determine whether the first number is the month or the date. |
| October 3 2007
or October 3 07 |
You can also abbreviate the year to the last 2 digits (07 in this example).
Open Plan recognizes the language set for your computer. |
| Oct 3 2007
or Oct 3 07 |
You can use the 3-letter abbreviation for the month.
You can also abbreviate the year to the last 2 digits (07 in this example). |
Any entries you make in this dialog box are automatically displayed in the calendar when the dialog box is closed.
You can enter a holiday on a non-working day only if the holiday is repeated yearly. If the holiday is not repeated yearly, Open Plan continues to display the day as a non-working day.
If a given date is defined as a holiday in a parent calendar, it is marked with the holiday color in all its child calendars. However, the date is not identified as a holiday in the Holidays dialog box displayed from the child calendar since that dialog box shows only those holidays defined for the specific calendar from which it is accessed.
