Assign Code Dialog Box

The Assign Code dialog box enables you to assign a code file to one of 90 code fields in the project or resource file.

Once you have assigned a code file to a project code field, you can assign an individual code to a project using the Codes tab of the Project Properties dialog box, and you can assign a code to an activity using the Codes tab of the Activity Details dialog box.

Once you have assigned a code file to a code field in a resource file, you can assign an individual code to an resource using the Codes tab of the Resource Details dialog box.

If you assign a code file to a code field that already has a code file assigned, Open Plan asks whether you want to replace the currently assigned code.

The Prompt button allows you to change the prompt text for a code file that has already been assigned to a code field.

The Assign Code dialog box displays automatically when you assign a code file to a project or resource file.

Resizing

In addition to using the grabber pad in the bottom right corner to resize the dialog box, you can also resize the "Code Files" and "Code field to assign code file to" boxes. When you hover your cursor between the two boxes, your cursor changes to a slider bar. Click and hold your mouse button and drag left or right to resize the boxes.
