  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Perform Time Analysis

Use this procedure to perform Time Analysis.

To perform Time Analysis:

  1. Open the project.
  2. On the Processes tab, click Perform Time Analysis.
  3. On the Options tab of the Time Analysis dialog box, enter the new Time Now date.
    You can also specify the Time Now date on the Processes tab from the Schedule group.
  4. To enable the option to automatically calculate time analysis each time the data changes, select the Analyze Each Time Data Changes option.
  5. To have Open Plan display the calculated early and late dates regardless of activity status, clear the Actual Date option.
    By default, Open Plan displays actual dates of in-progress and complete activities instead of the calculated early and late dates. Clear this option to see also the planned restart of any out-of-sequence activities.
  6. Click OK.

If an error occurs during time analysis, Open Plan displays a message when the calculation ends. From the Processes tab, select Open Log to display the Time Analysis log file. For more information about the Log Viewer, see The Log Viewer.

You can also set Open Plan to run time analysis automatically for new activities. For more information, see Options Dialog Box Project Tab.
