Display Earned Value on a Resource Histogram

Use this procedure to display earned value information.

To display earned value information:

1. In Open Plan Explorer, select a project for which you want to display earned value.
2. Enter progress information for the activities that are underway.
3. Perform time analysis on the project.
4. Perform resource scheduling on the project.
5. In the Project Views folder of your project, double-click the resource histogram view.
6. If the resource histogram view is blank, click Select Resource in the General menu group of the View tab.
   You may also right-click within the view, and click Select Resource on the shortcut menu.
7. In the Resource Selection dialog box, select the resources for which you want to see earned value, and click OK.
8. In the General menu group of the view tab, click Preferences.
   If a barchart with a histogram is displayed, the option is Histogram Preferences.
9. On the Options tab of the Histogram Preferences dialog box, select Earned Value.
10. Click the Earned Value tab.
11. On the Earned Value tab, select the information you want to display, and click OK.
