Contents of the User Defined Validation Dialog Box

Use the fields and options to configure the User Defined Validation dialog box.

Field	Description
Display for	Select an area to which you want to apply the validation rule.
New	Click this button, or press Insert on your keyboard, to display the Edit User Defined Validation dialog box which you use to create a new rule.
Copy	Select an existing rule and click this button to create a new rule based on the selected rule. The Edit User Defined Validation dialog box displays and you can edit the name and/or rule criteria. By default, the name starts with "Copy."
Edit	Select an existing rule and click this button to display the Edit User Defined Validation dialog box which you use to edit the name and/or selected rule details.
Delete	Click this button, or press Delete on your keyboard, to delete the selected rule. A dialog box displays, asking you to confirm the deletion.
Close	Click this button to exit the dialog box.
Assign	Click this button to assign a selected rule to specific projects, projects with specific group access, or projects with a specific owner.
Remove	Click this button to remove a selected rule from specific projects, projects with specific group access, or projects with a specific owner.
References	Click this button to view the projects to which the rule is assigned. Clicking References displays the References dialog box.
