Using the Help Search
  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

View Specifications for a Revit Model Element

View the specifications for a Revit model element to learn about the specified properties in its associated assembly, related families, and related product types.

Before you view specifications for a model element, you must open a Revit model with a linked Revit project.

To view specifications for a Revit model element:

  1. In Revit, select an element, which has a set assembly code, in your model.
  2. On the Specpoint tab on the Revit ribbon, click View Specifications.
    In your default browser, the project workspace opens with the assembly selected.
  3. In the project workspace, view the associated assembly.

    You can also view the related families, product types, and content items.
