Process an Uploaded Family through the Import Guide

Process an uploaded family based on the steps indicated on the Import Guide tab to ensure that your uploaded content has maximized compatibility with Specpoint's formatting and content structure.

To process an uploaded family through the import guide:

1. Open the Import page for a project.
2. In the uploaded elements pane on the Import page, locate the uploaded family.
3. Resolve needs attention items.
4. Resolve caution items.
   On the Guide tab, click Yes for Have all "Caution" errors been resolved?.
5. Set associations for import between the family and your target assemblies.
   On the Guide tab, click Yes for Have you set assembly associations?.
6. Download the MasterSpec style template and apply MasterSpec styles to the family.

   On the Guide tab, click Yes for Has the MasterSpec template file been applied to the imported file?.

7. Verify the family's converted product types.
   On the Guide tab, click Yes for Do all of the Family Product Types appear on the import page column?.
8. Preview the contents of the family and verify the manufacturers in its product types.
   On the Guide tab, click Yes for Do the Manufacturers appear as pills within the Family Product Type?.
9. Import all uploaded families and product types.
