Contents of the Notes Window

Use the contents of this window to view and manage the notes in your A/E firm's project.

Navigate to the following contents:

Options

In this window, the following options are available:

Option Description
Notes This displays the number of available notes in the project.
+ Add Note Click this button to add a new note in the Add Note window.
Filter Notes Click this button to display or hide the filters for project notes.

Filters

In this window, the following filter fields are available:

Filter Description
Note Name Filter the notes by name. Enter the name of the project note.
Created By Filter the notes by the user who created the note. Enter the name of the user.

The default value is your name.

Note Type Filter the notes by its type such as the associated project or project element to which the note refers. Enter any of the following values:
  • "General Note": Show only notes that refer to the project in general.
  • <Project Element Type>: Show only notes that refer to a specific project element type such as an assembly, family, or product type.
  • <Project Element Number> or <Project Element Name>: Show only notes that refer to project elements with the project element number or name that you entered.

The default value is the currently selected project element in the Project Elements pane in the origin project workspace (from where you opened the Notes window).

Last Modified (MM/DD/YYYY) Filter notes by when a user last modified it. Enter the date in this format: MM/DD/YYYY

Note Boards

In this window, the following boards are available:

Board Description
New This board contains the project notes that are new or refers to work that the project team has not started. The label of this board also indicates the number of project notes that are new.
In Progress This board contains the project notes that are in progress or refers to work that the project team is currently performing. The label of this board also indicates the number of project notes that are in progress.
Complete This board contains the project notes that are complete or refers to work that the project team has completed.

The project notes display as note cards.
