Fixed Assets
Use the Fixed Assets submodule in the Finance & Administration module to manage long-term company assets that are capitalized and depreciated over time, including:
- setting up Fixed Assets for the company
- creating and maintaining fixed asset groups
- creating fixed assets
- capitalizing asset purchase costs from suspense account transactions
- depreciating fixed assets
- revaluing fixed assets
- disposing of fixed assets
- importing fixed assets from Excel
To perform these tasks, you must have access to Finance & Administration as defined in User Access Rights Access under Settings.

Before you can create and manage fixed assets, the Fixed Assets feature must be enabled and configured for the company. - Fixed Asset Groups

Use the Fixed Assets Import feature to create fixed assets in bulk from Excel files. WorkBook validates the imported data, resolves fixed asset groups, generates journal entries, and commits the import in one transaction.
