Preview the Search Results
After building a search, you can view the actual list of records and the total number of records that match your search criteria.
Prerequisites: Create a new search or open an existing search
To preview the search results:
If a list of matching results does not automatically display on the Search dialog, click the
Show Preview:

- The Results Grid displays a list of all records matching your search criteria. These records also display when you use the Search List on the main form for the record. For more information about search lists in Vantagepoint, see Select Searches List.
- Some searches include a link to show the number of search results. The Show # of Results field displays the total record count for the Results grid. This number is dynamic based on the criteria in the search.
You can also expand the Search Results Preview to fill the screen, allowing you to scroll through and filter long lists of results. Maximize the Search Results Preview.

On the Actions bar of the New/Edit Search dialog box, click
to expand the Search Results Preview to full screen.
Vantagepoint fills the screen with the Search Results grid and Show # of Results option allowing you to more easily scroll through and filter long lists of search results.
