Create and Organize Searches
The Vantagepoint search functionality allows you to create new searches, update existing searches, build folder directories in which you can save and organize your searches.

Vantagepoint allows you to build basic searches using multiple search criteria. Use Basic search to quickly add search criteria, preview the records returned in the Search Records grid, and click the records counter to view the number of search records returned. - Advanced Searches
Use the Advanced Settings options to access additional features for creating a custom search. This includes the ability to select an AND or OR operator, group multiple conditions, nest the groupings, and view a search as plain text. - Legacy Searches
Legacy searches are imported from previous versions of the application or from legacy systems. - Organize Searches
After creating a search, the Vantagepoint folder options allow you to build directories in which you can save and organize your searches. - Create a New Search
Use the New Search dialog to enter the criteria for building a custom search. - Edit an Existing Search
You can edit an existing custom search or a legacy search. Standard searches are not editable. - Add a Field to a Search
Use the Search Criteria grid to specify the fields, operators, and values that you want to include in the search. - Change Order of Search Conditions
The order in which conditions display in the Search Criteria grid is the order in which they are executed in the search. You can change this order as needed. - Save a Search
You can save new or updated searches to the Select Searches list for reuse. You can also create folder directories to organize your searches. - Use a Quick Find to Locate a Search
The Quick Find displays on the Select Searches List and allows you to enter all or part of a search's information to locate and open the search. - Preview the Search Results
After building a search, you can view the actual list of records and the total number of records that match your search criteria. - Clear a Search
Use Clear Search to remove the search expression from the saved or legacy search in order to select and build a new search.
