Deltek Vantagepoint provides comprehensive search functionality that allows you to create new or update existing searches to search across most hub records, reports, and standard and user-defined fields in lookups and grids.

  • Create and Organize Searches
    The Vantagepoint search functionality allows you to create new searches, update existing searches, build folder directories in which you can save and organize your searches.
  • Search Hub Record
    Use the Select Searches list at the top of the hub form to select a standard, custom or legacy search or the + New Search option. The search list only includes records to which your security role gives you access.
  • Search Lookups
    A Lookup search locates all records of a single type (all projects, all employees, all contacts, and so on) across the database. You can search for records that share certain characteristics. For example, use a Lookup to search for all of your contacts who are located in New York, or all of your projects of the same type. You can also use a Lookup to find a single record, such as a particular employee's Employees hub record.
  • Search Reports
    You can search for specific records on a report via the Favorites tab and Reports tab in the Reporting application. You choose the set of records from which report data is drawn and then later reuse, modify, or choose a new set of records for an individual report via the Records Included list.
