Export Cost Data to an IPMDAR File

Use these steps to export cost data to an IPMDAR file.

Note: In order to export contract performance data to an IPMDAR file, you must first select the IPMDAR Contract Performance Data option under the Publish Data To group on the Platforms (IPMDAR) page of the Deltek Acumen Options dialog box. You can export contract performance data that you have imported from Cobra or .csv formats.

To export contract performance data to an IPMDAR file:

  1. On the S1 // Projects tab, in the Projects pane, select the project or snapshot that you want to export to an IPMDAR file format. The project must include cost data.
  2. Right-click on the project and click Export to IPMDAR Schedule or, click Publish > IPMDAR Contract Performance in the Publish menu group.
  3. Enter information on the IPMDAR Cost Performance Export Options dialog box:
    • Project: Select the project that you want to export. This includes all projects in the workbook, with the project that you selected in the Projects Pane already selected.

      You can export cost data that you have imported from Cobra or .csv formats.

    • Contract: If you have previously imported a list of contracts, use the drop-down to select one, or click the ellipses button and use the Manage Contracts dialog box to add or edit a contract.
    • Contractor: If you have previously imported a list of contractors, use the drop-down to select one, or click the ellipses button and use the Manage Contractors dialog box to add or edit a contractor.
    • Configure Structures: Click to display the Configure Structures dialog box to select code fields to export.
    • Data Options: Click to display the Data Options dialog box to specify whether the data is exported by control account or work package, among other things.
    • Export File: Specify the IPMDAR file to which you want to export the data. You can enter a path and file name or click the ellipses to select a folder and file.
    • Append Month + Year to file name (MMMYY): Select this option to append the month and year to the file name. This is useful if you want to use the same file name every time you export because by adding MMMYY, it makes the filename unique.
  4. Click OK.
    Acumen exports the cost data and saves it to the specified file.
