Using the Help Search
  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Import Data from Another Application

Use this procedure to import data from another application using the Import dialog box.

To import data from another application:

  1. In Open Plan Explorer, click General in the Import menu group of the Integration tab.
  2. In the Import dialog box, select the import specification to use and then click OK.
    You can also indicate whether or not Open Plan should update the selected open project with the imported data.
  3. In the Import File dialog box, select the source file for the operation and then click OK.
Note: If you have a project open when you issue the Import General command, Open Plan enables you to indicate if the imported data should be used to update the current project. If the project includes references to ancillary data files, you are prompted to name these files as well. Note, however, that whether or not the imported data overwrites existing records is determined by a parameter set in the import specification.
