Export a File to an MSP Project

Use this procedure to export a file to an MSP project.

To export a file as an MSP Project (MPP format), Microsoft Project must be installed on your computer.

To export a file to an MSP project:

  1. In Open Plan Explorer, select the project that you want to export.
  2. On the Integration tab, in the Export group, click MS Project to launch the Microsoft Project Export wizard.
  3. On the Export Type and Method page:
    • In the Export Type group, select whether you want to Create or replace a project or Update existing project.
    • In the Export To group, select Microsoft Project Standard/Professional.
  4. Click Next.
  5. On the Project page, click the ellipsis button to the right of the Project File field to display a Save As dialog box.

  8. On the Options page of the wizard, select the options that you want to set for the export process and click Finish.
Open Plan begins the export process.
