Customizing a Risk Analysis Histogram View
There are several methods to customize the way in which Open Plan displays probability information in a risk analysis histogram view.
These methods are as follows:
- You can select the colors that Open Plan uses to display both histogram bars and S-curves.
- You can specify whether or not Open Plan should display the data as a table, a graph, or both.
- If information is displayed in a table, you can specify the number of decimal places that should be included.
- You can specify both the style and the position of the histogram bars.
Selecting a Key Activity
Open Plan allows you to select the activity that appears in the view using the Key Activity Selection dialog box.
Risk Histogram Display Options
To define the appearance of a risk histogram view, display the Risk Analysis Preferences dialog box. With this dialog box, you can indicate which dates (Early Start, Early Finish, Late Start, or Late Finish) to display in the view and whether you want to display histogram bars or cumulative S-curves. You can also indicate whether you want to display a graph only, a table only, or a combination of the two. If you display a table, you can indicate how many decimal places should be displayed.
If you are displaying histogram bars, you have the option of specifying the bar style (3-dimensional or flat). If multiple bars are displayed, you can specify their display as either side-by-side or front-to-back. If you choose to display flat bars front-to-back, Open Plan varies the width of the bars to distinguish between the different types of information being displayed.
Customizing the Date Scale
You can customize the date scale appearing in a stand-alone risk histogram view using the same procedures that you use to customize the date scale in a barchart view. (In fact, when a risk histogram appears in a barchart view, the barchart date scale controls the histogram portion of the view as well.)
