Assigning Views to a Project
View files are stored in the Views folder of the Open Plan Library.
There are two ways to assign a view to a project.
Assigning a View Using Drag and Drop
In Open Plan Explorer, you can expand and drag a view option from the right pane onto the appropriate project. A project does not need to be open if you use the drag and drop method of assigning the view.
Assigning a View by Double-clicking
If you have at least one project open, double-clicking the view icon displays the Choose a Project dialog box. This dialog box displays a list of all the projects that you have open and provides you with the following options:
- You can select a view to display the project data without creating a permanent link to the project.
- You can select a view and select the
Make a Permanent Link to Project option to create a permanent link.
If no project is open when you double-click the icon, Open Plan advises you to drag the view icon to the project folder to create a link.
Attention: For more information about views, see
Views and Reports.
