To help you handle project-related data files, Open Plan provides various functions related to file management. - Opening a File
- Saving Files
Open Plan provides two ways to save files. - Saving Files as Text
When during either a Copy or Cut operation, you select more data than can fit on the clipboard, Open Plan asks whether you want to save a text file representation of the data for use by an external program such as Excel. - Closing Files
The operation performed when you issue a Close command depends on which method you use and the context in which you issue the command. - Backing Up a File
The Backup File command enables you to create a backup copy of a project and any files associated with that project. - Restoring Data
You can use the Restore Data command to restore the information stored in a backup file set. - Deleting a File
With the Delete File command, you can delete any project or project-related data file from the data source. - Changing the Access Mode
