Manage Project Milestones

Milestones are events that are used to track specific phases along a project timeline. For each project, you define the event stages of the project within the Classifications section in the General tab of a project, and these event stages determine which milestones are applicable to a project.

For each milestone, you must set the planned completion date. Additionally, you can set the duration in days for each milestone and the priority. A default set of global recipients is assigned to each milestone, and these people are notified when a milestone is set to complete. You can also add additional roles and contacts if you want to notify additional people when a milestone is completed.
