Configuration Search Dialog Box

Use the Configuration Search dialog box to search for:

• A configuration ID or code that represents a particular mapping between a source software data import or export file and Deltek PM Compass fields.

• The supported Cobra integration wizard configuration files relating to the cost system schedule integration process. See the Cost System Process Dialog Box for more information.

The Change Details on Form fields and Schedule Integration cost system process support Cobra and Open Plan integration. Make sure you select a configuration that defines the settings to load Open Plan project data. See Cobra Integration Wizard Configuration File Settings for more information on the required settings.

Display Type

This field is read-only and displays Standard.

Search

After changing the information on the dialog  box, you must click this button to populate the list box of results. The records that PM Compass displays in a grid depend on the search filters that you define. The columns in the grid vary, depending on the display type that you select.

Search By

Select one of the following options:

• Configuration ID/Name — Select this option to filter the search results by configuration ID or Name.

• Configuration Description — Select this option to filter the search results by description of a particular mapping between the source software data import or export file and PM Compass fields.

After selecting the field, click the Search button to populate the list box with results from the selected Search By.

Search Text

This text box allows you to enter a value stored in the selected Search By field. After entering the search text, click anywhere in the search results grid or click the Search button to populate the list box with results from the selected Search By.

Search Results

This grid displays the search results after you define your filter criteria and then click Search. The column headings of this grid vary depending on the field that you select in the Search By drop-down list.

Total Rows

This field displays the total number of records that are available in the result set of the search.

Select

Select a record on the grid and click this button to display the corresponding data. You can select multiple records by pressing either the CTRL key or the SHIFT key and then clicking the selected entries. The search dialog box displays the first record that best matches the criteria, following the numerical-alphabetical order for all records.

This button is disabled until you click a record in the grid.  

• For field searches, selecting a record and clicking Select closes the search dialog box and displays the selected record in the field.

• For filter searches that present records for a screen (for example, a workflow search), selecting a record and clicking Select closes the search dialog box and populates the application form with the values of the selected record.

• For Dashparts (but not the global filter for Dashboards) and Reports, the label of this button is Apply.

PM Compass remembers the last search results that you get such that when you open the same search dialog box again, the previous set of results displays in the grid.

Select All

Click this button to select and display all available records in numerical-alphabetical order.

The Select All button is not available on search dialog boxes where you can only select one record at a time.

Close

Click this button to exit the dialog box.

Help

Click this button to display the corresponding help topic of the search dialog box.
