General Import and Export Overview

Use the General Import feature to import data from other systems into PM Compass. You can export data from these systems in CSV format or to Excel spreadsheets and use General Import to specify how the data relates to the PM Compass database.

You cannot import Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 data using this process. Use the Projects form Schedule Integration tab for these project imports.

After you define the fields and import options, you can save the information in a configuration that you can share with others. In addition, you can schedule the import process to occur automatically at specified times to ensure that PM Compass always has the updated project information.  

You can use the General Export feature to export Work Authorization data, progress, and other data from the source fields in PM Compass. You can also save your options in a configuration and schedule the export to occur automatically.
