Use the Initial Work Authorization form to create a new Work Authorization.
This serves as the unique key field for each record. PM Compass automatically generates a value for this field, but you can also manually enter it. However, you must ensure that you enter a unique value.
You can edit this field as long as you haven't saved the record yet.
Assignments have the same ID as the parent.
Enter a title for the Initial Work Authorization. You can no longer edit this field after you save the record unless the Initial Work Authorization does not use a workflow.
Select the end date for the Initial Work Authorization's completion.
Select the level of urgency for the Initial Work Authorization.
Click this button to select a project code. The Project Search dialog box displays.
Use this field to view the contract number of the project.
Click to select a control account for the Initial Work Authorization. The Control Account Search dialog box displays.
Use this field to view the Baseline Start date.
Use this field to view the Baseline Finish date.
Use this field to view the Forecast Start date.
Use this field to view the Forecast Finish date.
Use this text box to enter the statement of work.
Click this button to display the Text Viewer dialog box where you can review your statement of work.
Use this grid to view budget details and select cost set.
Click this button to display the Cost Set dialog box where you can search for and select a cost set that you want to use.
The Select Cost Set button is available when you select the Allow Selection of Additional Cost Set in Workflow option on the Cost Details on Form tab on the Workflow Type Configuration form, and Cobra is the selected cost system.
Use this field to view the status date.
Use this field to view the date the Initial Work Authorization was created.
