Use the Select Field dialog box to select fields to use in an area of PM Compass. Access this dialog box by clicking the Insert Field button from one of the following locations:
The options vary depending on which area of the application you are in when you access the dialog box.
With the Select Field dialog box you can complete the following tasks:
Include the title field of a workflow to show the project to which it belongs.
Add information to an email alert subject and body.

For User-Initiated Alerts, fields are inserted into the body or subject of an email or dashboard to display information from the workflow in the notifications. These fields include the workflow title and due dates.
The Email Configuration and Dash Alert Configuration dialog boxes may be accessed on the Step <#> Actions grid of the Workflow Steps Tab of Workflow Type Configuration when the following notification types are selected:
Notify when the step starts
Notify when the step ends
Notify on rejection
Notify on approval
Notify on suspension
Originator notification

For Scheduled Alerts, step actions are inserted on the workflow.
