Setting up security for multi-company

When you give members of a role access to multi-company, they can set up and change companies, access the Company field in the Project Command Center, enter intercompany journal entries, or view the Multi-Company Reconciliation report.

Members of a role see the following options when you give them access:

  • > Setup > Company > Companies
  • > Manage > Project Command Center > Project Info, Project List, and Phase Info subtabs > General tab > Company
  • > Manage > Journal Entries > Account > Intercompany Due From, Intercompany Due To, and Intercompany Other Income
  • > Reports > Financial > Multi-Company Reconciliation

To set up security for multi-company

  1. From the > Setup menu, click Company > Roles.
  1. Click the role you want to give access to multi-company, and click Edit.
  2. Do the following:

Set up and change companies

  1. Click the Company tab.
  2. Select the Companies check box.

The > Setup > Company > Companies menu option appears.

Access the Company field in the Project Command Center

  1. Click the Projects tab.
  2. Click the Project Info subtab.
  3. On the General tab, select the level of access to the Company field.
  4. Repeat for the Project List and Phase Info subtabs.

The Company field appears in the Project Command Center.

Enter intercompany journal entries

  1. Click the General tab.
  2. Select the Allow journal entries to intercompany accounts check box.

Intercompany Due From, Intercompany Due To, and Intercompany Other Income accounts appear for journal entries.

Note: Limit the number of employees who have access to intercompany journal entries.

View the Multi-Company Reconciliation report

  1. Click the Reports tab.
  2. Select the Financial\Multi-Company Reconciliation check box.

Reports > Financial > Multi-Company Reconciliation menu option appears.

  1. Click Save.
