Entering beginning balances for unpaid client invoices and finance charges
If you entered an amount for your Accounts Receivable account in your trial balance, you need to enter the client invoices that made up that amount. Entering the invoices here ensures you are able to receive payment and keep your financial reports in balance.

To enter beginning balances for unpaid client invoices
- From the > Setup menu, click Company > Beginning Balances > Unpaid Client Invoices.
- Click the New button.
- Enter the project.
- Click OK.
- Enter the invoice date.
- Type an invoice number if needed.
- On the Entries tab, enter the following information. Complete one row for each distribution on the invoice.

Click the Attachments tab and add attachments, by linking to related files. A linked file must be in a shared location for other people to open it (for example, on a shared network or a website).
- Click the Notes tab to add any notes about the invoice. Click anywhere in the tab and type your changes or additions. These notes are for your reference only and do not appear on the invoice.
- Click Save. If you have multi-company, the window closes after you save.
- Click Close.
To enter beginning balances for unpaid finance charge client invoices
- From the > Setup menu, click Company > Beginning Balances > Unpaid Client Invoices.
- Click the New button.
- Enter the project.
- Select the Finance charge invoice check box, and click OK.
- Enter the following information:

Enter the number which identifies the finance charge invoice. Ajera prefixes all finance charge numbers with FC- so that you can easily identify finance charges. |

- Click Save. If you have multi-company, the window closes after you save.
- Click Close.
