Using the Help Search
  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Contents of an Article (Classic Workspace)

On the element form of the classic workspace, use the different options and contents of an article to arrange, modify, and add articles.

Options

The following options for each article are available:

Button Description
Dotted Icon This icon indicates the beginning of an article.
Collapsed or Expanded Indicator This indicates whether you expanded or collapsed the article. The following icons are available:
  • : This indicates that you collapsed the article and hid its child paragraphs. Click this icon to expand the article.
  • : This indicates that you expanded the article and displayed its child paragraphs. Click this icon to collapse the article.
Activate Content or Inactivate Content Click this button to activate or inactivate the article.

When you inactivate an article, you disable modifications for the article and all paragraphs under it without discarding any existing changes. You also temporarily hide the article and its contents from the preview and output. When you activate an article, you enable modifications for the article and show its contents in the preview and output.

Add Content Click this button to add a new article immediately after the currently selected article.

Remove This option is available only for user-added articles.

Click this button to remove the article.

Menu Click this button to view the available options for the article.
The following options are available:
  • Notes
    • All Notes: Open the Notes window and view notes for the project element.
    • Create New Note: Add a project note to the article.

The availability of these options are based on your user permission.

Contents

On the element form, the following contents for each article are available:

Item Description
Article Number This indicates the numbering of the article based on the order of all articles on the element tab (part).
Title This indicates the title of the article. For a given element tab or part under a family, section, or product type, the article title is unique.

You can only modify the title of a user-added article.
